Communities all across the world love to celebrate easter with an exhibition.
In 2023, many Australians are still faced with hard choices when planning for travel and events.
It’s hard to believe three years have passed with many communities still dealing with the aftermath of bushfires COVID-19 restrictions, and more recently devastating floods that have swept across large swathes of the landscape. For some communities, there will be easter art events in 2023 as timing will allow them to forge ahead with plans for the new year. For others, rescheduling may still be the only real choice to be made.
While people movement is largely returning to normal, the loss of continuity for arts events as a result of COVID-19 presents another huge challenge for Easter exhibition organisers across the country.
The truth is though, despite unprecedented numbers of communities dealing with natural disasters across every Australian state and territory, there are still beautiful places, incredible people, and amazing arts experiences all around us.
How you can help
The most practical way to help local arts communities all across Australia now is to connect with local galleries through their online offerings. For those who cannot operate a physical storefront right now, online sales and events are making it possible for galleries and local artists to survive.
In the meantime, we’ll provide latest updates on postponements or cancellations on this page.
